DNS

The DNS tab manages the DNS records and WWW redirects for the domain selected at the top of the page. It is the same zone editor as in DNS and domains; this page covers only what is specific to a webhosting domain.

External DNS Warning

Changes made here only take effect when your domain uses the Gigahost nameservers. If it does not, a warning lists the nameservers to set at your registrar:

• ns1.gigahost.no
• ns2.gigahost.no
• ns3.gigahost.no

DNS Records

Records work as in DNS and domains. NS and SOA records are managed automatically and cannot be edited or deleted.

WARNING

Be careful when editing or deleting MX and TXT records if you have email services active on the domain. Removing MX records will stop email delivery, and removing SPF/DKIM/DMARC TXT records may cause outgoing email to be rejected by recipients.

WWW Forwarder

Redirects are created on the WWW Redirects tab. Flux creates the DNS records for a redirect automatically, and the source cannot be changed after creation. See WWW Redirects.
